Privacy Policy
We believe privacy is about respect. Here's exactly how we handle your data — clearly, honestly, and without the fine-print trickery.

Novera is an AI-powered communication assistant that helps you express yourself more thoughtfully. Because our product touches deeply personal conversations, we take privacy seriously.
This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and how we protect it. We have written it to be transparent and human-readable.
In short: We collect the minimum data needed to run the service, protect it with industry-standard security, never sell your personal data, and give you control over your information.
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a secure password hash. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from those services.
Login & Authentication Data
We store authentication tokens and session data to keep you securely logged in. We also keep basic login timestamps for security monitoring.
Messages & Content You Input
When you paste or type a message into Novera, we process that text to generate rewrites, tone analysis, and suggestions. This data is processed in real time and is not used to train AI models.
Usage Analytics
We collect anonymous usage data such as feature usage, app crashes, and performance metrics. This helps us improve the product and fix issues. We do not track individual messages or their content in analytics.
Novera uses third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI) to generate rewrites, tone analysis, and suggestions. Here's how that works:
- Your message is sent securely to our AI partners only when you request a rewrite or analysis.
- We do not allow AI providers to use your data to train their models.
- Messages are processed ephemerally — they are not retained by our AI partners after processing.
- We have data processing agreements in place with all AI providers.
A note of caution: While we use reasonable safeguards, AI systems are not perfectly private. We recommend avoiding sharing highly sensitive personal information — such as medical details, financial account numbers, or passwords — within the app.
Your trust matters. If anything here feels unclear, we're happy to explain — just reach out.
